Rigor Mortis

It's been quite some time, 13-15 days since the last release of a demo build but it has been for a reason. Lots of development and design has been going into Mortuis Rogue.  Me and my team have been constructing a re-playable experience for the player and a challenging experience at that. This will be the last free/demo release of Mortuis, as our next big update will be the Early Access launch onto Steam. The price for Mortuis during Early Access will be $6.99. I and my team understand that this is our first game and we want the experience to be fun, but we also want the price to be reasonable with the quality and presentation of the game. We are all still working hard at presenting and developing the perfect game we all envisioned. 

Changes and what's to come

Since the latest demo update, we have added in a new system into the game that we had planned, the modification system. How the system works is every time you kill an enemy already you can acquire Scraps which are used as the in-game currency. You can use the currency to purchase weapons, upgrades and others. Now you have the ability to permanently purchase modifier drops into the game. The bosses in the game have, currently, a 50% chance of dropping them. There are, for now, only two mods that you can acquire. We have a list of mods currently planned, but there are more to come. 

We have added a new map into the game, Castle. The castle takes place in the medieval time, where the monstrosity of the world remains. Good luck surviving the waves of enemy in this map. 

We have also added in the ability to obtain grenades in the game, ammo boxes have a low percent chance to spawn them, so make sure you use them carefully.

Notes:

We have currently removed the stats system as we were having issues and the caverns map is still currently not in the game.
